Character roughs for Ozz – I’m excited for this little guy. The obsession with owls continues!
Jess Connell and I put together the concept and animation for a pretty amazing music video project.
Adam Bojelian, 12, who has cerebral palsy, is blind and suffers from a severe seizure disorder, is donating 50p from every download of Christmas Gibbons to the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.
Actor Ewan McGregor, a long-time supporter of CHAS, said: “It’s quite incredible to think that Adam shares his vivid imagination with us through poetry written by blinking. I love the idea that Santa is assisted at Christmas by gibbons! I hope lots of people will download this track and help raise some money for CHAS.”
Roslyn Neely, director of fundraising and communications at CHAS, said: “It’s a super song and we are really proud of Adam’s great achievement and the fact that his family want to raise money for CHAS.”
The most recent season of OOglies, which I line-produced, has been granted a nomination for a 2012 Children’s Bafta in the Short Form Category. Congratulations to director Mole Hill and everyone involved!
I’m off to Bristol for Encounters Film Festival! I’ve been accepted onto a professional development course – the Creative Business of Producing Animation – and the line up of speakers in inspiring. Two days of scintillating lectures from internationally acclaimed and established producers, a full day of touring Aardman and picking the brains of some of their top producers, Sam Fell speaking on ParaNorman, and lots of short film to boot. Needless to say, this animation enthusiast is sold. If you’re there and want to chat, get in touch!
