Ozz
Character roughs for Ozz – I’m excited for this little guy. The obsession with owls continues!
EILIDH name painting
I put this together for my gorgeous new niece. Her name means “Bird” or “Light”.
GOSH Monster Illustrations
After creating a Monster illustration to support a book project for Great Ormand Street Hospital Charity, they invited me to create a series of 12 illustrations to accompany the main story. It was a very fun experience! The book will be out in summer, I’ll keep you posted. Proceeds go to support G.O.S.H.
Shaun Tan
Shaun Tan. Inspiring. An amazing visionary artist and a compelling speaker. I saw him give a lecture as part of the Edinburgh Book Festival and he spoke eloquently and articulately about the process of being an artist. One of the best events I’ve been to this year.
Edinburgh Book Festival
I’m seeing many interesting events this year at the book festival, but so far the highlight was a masterclass given by Giles Andreae, also known as Edward Munkton. Less of a class and more of an honest, frank discussion on work, success and happiness. His new series ‘World of Happy‘ is amazing. Next up, looking forward to Julia Donaldson in discussion with Axel Schueffler!
Going Blonde for June
I had an amazing time joining Blonde Digital as an animator in residence for the last five weeks. Hope to be back soon! They even wrote a fab post about my time there. Check out what they had to say.
Very Sweet!
Splitscreen: A Love Story
Monster Book!
I have accepted an invitation to contribute to a book for the Great Ormand Street Hospital Charity (GOSH).
They have invited 33 illustrators to create an image of a monster that will be published for this coming Christmas. The book will contain a collection of Monster drawings that have been created by 4 pupils from 33 schools around London. The school who drew the Monster I will illustrate is Avondale Primary School.
Each of the Monsters have been given a name that the 4 children decided. The Monsters name for my illustration is Monster Tall, and he’s pretty funky. I’m looking forward to bringing him to life!
